On the 25th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 1,497.34 yen (2.87%) higher from the previous day to 53,749.62 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1458, lost was 107, and unchanged was 15. Commerce was high across the board, with over 90% of rising stocks.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 288.80 yen. This was followed by SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 223.82 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 123.34 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 62.67 yen, Tokio Marine <8766> at 50.14 yen.
Recruit Holdings <6098> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 12.33 yen to The Nikkei. Below, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> was at 3.61 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 3.34 yen, BANDAI NAMCO <7832> was at 3.01 yen, BayCurrent Inc <6532> was at 1.84 yen.
By industry, 32 of the 33 industries gained, with only one industry, Mining Sector, lost. Insurance Sector ranked as a top gainer, followed by Nonferrous Metals Sector, Glass & Ceramics Products Sector, Banks Sector, Machinery Sector, and Electric Power & Gas Sector.
