Internationally, LION OFFICE PRODUCTS has subsidiaries in the United States, Taiwan, and China, expanding its operations globally. The company was founded in 1792 in Osaka as a brush and ink merchant. In 1881, it began importing stationery and office equipment and started using the Lion trademark. From 1961, the company positioned itself as a comprehensive office manufacturer. It changed its name to LION OFFICE PRODUCTS in 1980 and entered into a capital and business alliance with Otsuka Corporation [4768] in 2008.
