In the AxelLiner business, Axelspace provides development and operation services for customer-oriented small satellite projects. The company offers one-stop solutions that include technical development as well as non-technical procedures such as launch vehicle arrangements and regulatory approvals. In the AxelGlobe business, Axelspace sells image data acquired by its proprietary optical Earth observation satellite constellation. The company also processes and analyzes these images to extract information and provides solutions to customers. Applications are expanding across various industries including agriculture, land management, environmental monitoring, finance, and journalism. Axelspace was founded in 2008 as a small satellite venture spun off from the University of Tokyo and Tokyo Institute of Technology. In the same year, the company received an order for the microsatellite "WNISAT-1" from Weathernews <4825>, which was launched in 2013 and operated until the following year. In 2019, Axelspace also successfully launched a small satellite for technology demonstration ordered by JAXA.
