TAISEI briefly recovers to previous day's close on raised profit and dividend forecasts driven by strong domestic performance
TAISEI CORPORATION <1801> briefly recovered to the previous trading day's closing price of \16,650. Around 1:00 p.m. today, the company announced revisions to its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2026. Operating profit guidance was raised from the previous forecast of \148.0 billion to \184.0 billion (up 53.1% year-on-year), while net profit guidance was increased from \137.0 billion to \167.0 billion (up 34.9% year-on-year). The company also raised its year-end dividend forecast by \60 to \185 per share, attracting buying interest on the back of the wider profit growth outlook and increased dividend. The full-year dividend forecast now stands at \310 per share, compared to \210 in the previous fiscal year.
The revisions reflect upward adjustments to the company's non-consolidated earnings forecast and generally strong performance from domestic subsidiaries. On a non-consolidated basis, major construction projects in the domestic building construction segment are progressing smoothly, with sales expected to exceed the previous forecast, while profit margins in both the building construction and civil engineering segments are improving.
