The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 204.56 yen. This was followed by FAST RETAILING <9983> at 95.46 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 92.25 yen, TDK <6762> at 22.56 yen, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> at 13.24 yen.
SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 340.94 yen to The Nikkei. Below, KDDI <9433> was at 20.66 yen, SONY <6758> was at 19.89 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 11.03 yen, DISCO <6146> was at 7.82 yen.
By industry, 20 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Mining Sector, Pharmaceuticals Sector, and Pulp & Paper Sector. Information & Communication Sector, Insurance Sector, and Air Transportation Sector were among the top losers.
