On the 25th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 33.64 yen (0.07%) higher from the previous weekend to 48,659.52 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 770, lost was 787, and unchanged was 51.

The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 204.56 yen. This was followed by FAST RETAILING <9983> at 95.46 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 92.25 yen, TDK <6762> at 22.56 yen, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> at 13.24 yen.

SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 340.94 yen to The Nikkei. Below, KDDI <9433> was at 20.66 yen, SONY <6758> was at 19.89 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 11.03 yen, DISCO <6146> was at 7.82 yen.

By industry, 20 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Mining Sector, Pharmaceuticals Sector, and Pulp & Paper Sector. Information & Communication Sector, Insurance Sector, and Air Transportation Sector were among the top losers.
