Nikkei 225 close on the 19th = falling for the first time in 4 days, 93 yen lower to 37,751 yen
On the 19th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 93.54 yen (-0.25%) lower from the previous day to 37,751.88 yen, falling for the first time in forth days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1063, lost was 507, and unchanged was 64. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 110.74 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 30.97 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 26.63 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 12.82 yen, DISCO <6146> was at 12.23 yen.
The top positive contributor was Recruit Holdings <6098>, pushing up The Nikkei by 19.73 yen. This was followed by Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 9.37 yen, Nintendo <7974> at 9.21 yen, ITOCHU <8001> at 9.14 yen, TOYOTA MOTOR <7203> at 8.71 yen.
By industry, 27 of the 33 industries gained. Wholesale Trade Sector ranked first, followed by Electric Power & Gas Sector, Other Products Sector, and Transportation Equipment Sector. Nonferrous Metals Sector, Information & Communication Sector, and Precision Instruments Sector were among the top losers.
