Nikkei 225 close on the 13th = falling for the first time in 5 days, 378 yen lower to 39,470 yen

On the 13th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 378.70 yen (-0.95%) lower from the previous day to 39,470.44 yen, falling for the first time in five days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 529, lost was 1051, and unchanged was 61. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.

FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 109.2 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 75.46 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 26.14 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> was at 25.48 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 17.36 yen.

The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 135.47 yen. This was followed by BANDAI NAMCO <7832> at 23.38 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 4.70 yen, Oji Holdings <3861> at 2.06 yen, Socionext <6526> at 1.46 yen.

By industry, 30 of the 33 industries lost, with only 3 industries Pulp & Paper Sector, Marine Transportation Sector, and Other Products Sector, gained. Machinery Sector ranked as a top loser, followed by Other Financial Business Sector, Pharmaceuticals Sector, Precision Instruments Sector, Electric Appliances Sector, and Chemicals Sector.
