Earnings ReportBANDAI NAMCO Holdings Inc. <7832> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results at noon (11:35) on February 5th. The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2025 (April to December) surged 2.1 times that of the same period last year, reaching 185 billion yen.
In addition, the full-year consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 14.7%, from the previous forecast of 163 billion yen to 187 billion yen (compared to 104 billion yen in the previous period), increasing the growth rate from 56.5% to 79.5%. The company has further increased its previous forecast of record profits for the first time in three years.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the upward revision, our estimate of the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to March period (2H) is expected to increase 50.6%, from the previous forecast of 47.4 billion yen to 71.4 billion yen (compared to 30.2 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), increasing the growth rate from 56.9% to 2.4 times.
In light of the strong performance, the company has significantly increased its planned annual dividend for the current fiscal year from the original plan of 22 yen to 71 yen (compared to 60 yen in the previous period).
In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit surged 4.4 times that of the same period last year, reaching 69.8 billion yen. The operating profit margin drastically improved from 4.7% in the same period last year to 19.0%.
