The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending January 2026 (February to July) significantly dropped 94.9% from the same period last year to 0.06 billion yen.
In addition, the full-year forecast, which was not disclosed, shows that consolidated ordinary profit/loss will turn into a deficit of loss of 0.40 billion yen (compared to a profit of 3.02 billion yen in the previous period).
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit/loss for the August to January period (second half) is expected to turn into a loss of 0.46 billion yen (compared to a profit of 1.66 billion yen in the same period last year).
In the most recent three-month period, from May to July (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit decreased to 2.35 billion yen, an 11.6% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin remained almost flat, changing from 4.5% in the same period last year to 4.4%.
