Nikkei 225 close on the 21st = rebound for the first time in 6 days, 1,879 yen higher to 61,684 yen
On the 21st, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 1,879.73 yen (3.14%) higher from the previous day to 61,684.14 yen, rebound for the first time in sixth days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1013, lost was 504, and unchanged was 46. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 804.53 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 271.53 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> at 270.32 yen, IBIDEN <4062> at 149.84 yen, TDK <6762> at 99.56 yen.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 115.85 yen to The Nikkei. Below, KDDI <9433> was at 24.94 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 24.3 yen, Sompo Holdings <8630> was at 13.48 yen, BANDAI NAMCO <7832> was at 11.26 yen.
By industry, 21 of the 33 industries gained. Information & Communication Sector ranked first, followed by Electric Appliances Sector, Glass & Ceramics Products Sector, and Nonferrous Metals Sector. Mining Sector, Insurance Sector, and Marine Transportation Sector were among the top losers.
