On the 7th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 15.88 yen (0.03%) higher from the previous day to 53,429.56 yen, rising for the third days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1129, lost was 406, and unchanged was 37. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 65.17 yen. This was followed by TDK <6762> at 28.16 yen, Kioxia <285A> at 11.03 yen, IBIDEN <4062> at 11.00 yen, TERUMO <4543> at 10.59 yen.
SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 66.78 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Fujikura <5803> was at 46.26 yen, DISCO <6146> was at 27.62 yen, KDDI <9433> was at 24.54 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 12.67 yen.
By industry, 23 of the 33 industries gained. Oil & Coal Products Sector ranked first, followed by Real Estate Sector, Glass & Ceramics Products Sector, and Banks Sector. Nonferrous Metals Sector, Information & Communication Sector, and Mining Sector were among the top losers.
