NIKKON Holdings rises for third consecutive day on speculation following Farallon Capital stake increase
NIKKON Holdings Co.,Ltd. <9072> extended its gains for a third consecutive day. According to an amended report filed with the Kanto Local Finance Bureau after the close of trading on the 2nd, U.S. investment advisory firm Farallon Capital Management increased its shareholding from 19.72% to 23.00%, spurring speculative buying. The purpose of the holding is stated as "pure investment and enhancement of medium- to long-term corporate value through constructive dialogue (engagement), including the possibility of making important proposals depending on circumstances." The report indicated that the date triggering the reporting obligation was March 26.
