TSE Investor Trading Trends: Foreign Investors Net Sellers of \1.5090 Trillion in Cash Equities in Fourth Week of March
According to trading data released by the Tokyo Stock Exchange on the 2nd, foreign investors were net sellers of \1,509,050,460,000 in cash equities during the fourth week of March (March 23-27), marking the third consecutive week of significant selling. The net selling amount expanded to levels not seen since the second week of September 2024 (\1,542,586,560,000). In the previous week, they were net sellers of \519,190,880,000. On a futures basis (combined total of Nikkei 225 and TOPIX futures and mini futures), foreign investors were net sellers of \618.2 billion. Combined cash and futures transactions showed net selling of \2,127.3 billion, marking the fourth consecutive week of net selling. In the previous week, they were net sellers of \429.4 billion.
Individual investors were net sellers of \14,576,570,000 in cash equities, marking the first net selling in four weeks. Trust banks were net sellers of \103,449,110,000, extending their net selling streak to 12 consecutive weeks. Corporations were net sellers of \4,457,610,000 for the second consecutive week. During this week, the Nikkei Stock Average rose \0.54 <0.0%> on a closing basis.
