RYOHIN KEIKAKU's March Same-Store Sales Rise for Third Consecutive Month
RYOHIN KEIKAKU CO.,LTD. <7453> announced its domestic sales for March after the close of trading on the day, with combined sales from existing stores and online stores up 3.7% year-on-year, marking the third consecutive month of growth.
The "MUJI Passport Week" members-only sale held from March 20 to 30 drove sales across all categories?apparel and accessories, household goods, and food?above prior-year levels. Although the sale period had the same number of days as the previous year, the positive impact of the sale starting on a public holiday offset the effect of having one fewer weekend or holiday compared to the previous year. Sales across all stores and online stores combined rose 9.6% year-on-year.
