Towns <197A.T> Ranks Third in Rising Sell Predictions Among Individual Investors
Towns <197A> ranked third in "rising sell predictions" as of 2:00 p.m. on the 1st, according to "Individual Investor Predictions (Latest 48 Hours)" compiled by Minkabu.
Following the close of trading on March 30th, the company revised downward its fiscal year ending June 2026 standalone earnings forecast, lowering sales from \20.769 billion to \15.048 billion (down 19.2% year-on-year), operating profit from \8.323 billion to \4.368 billion (down 47.2%), and net profit from \8.613 billion to \5.692 billion (down 9.9%). This appears to be continuing to drive the increase in sell predictions.
While the influenza season began earlier than usual in late September, and COVID-19 infections also continued to a certain extent, resulting in record-high sales for the second quarter (October-December 2025), the third quarter (January-March 2026) saw a smaller-than-expected scale of infectious disease outbreaks, leading to projected sales and profits falling short of plan.
