Columbia Works rises for first time in three days on construction start of hotel development project on Kouri Island, Okinawa
Columbia Works <146A> rose for the first time in three days. The company announced after the market close on the 31st that construction has begun on a hotel development project it has been planning and designing on Kouri Island in Okinawa Prefecture, which is viewed as positive news.
Regarding this project, the company sold the land in question to a special purpose company (SPC) funded by multiple investors and is proceeding with development. Columbia Works and its group will continue to be involved in the project from planning and development through operations, handling project management, asset management, and hotel operation functions. The resort-style accommodation facility will have 61 rooms and is scheduled to open in April 2028, with expectations for future contributions to earnings.
