On the 27th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 96.88 yen (0.16%) higher from the previous day to 58,850.27 yen, rising for the forth days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1439, lost was 117, and unchanged was 34. Commerce was high across the board, with over 90% of rising stocks.
The top positive contributor was FAST RETAILING <9983>, pushing up The Nikkei by 88.24 yen. This was followed by KONAMI <9766> at 41.95 yen, SONY <6758> at 40.95 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 31.75 yen, Sumitomo Metal Mining <5713> at 21.39 yen.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 340.94 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 130.36 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 87.44 yen, DISCO <6146> was at 23.87 yen, Fujikura <5803> was at 23.4 yen.
By industry, 32 of the 33 industries gained, with only one industry, Precision Instruments Sector, lost. Oil & Coal Products Sector ranked as a top gainer, followed by Mining Sector, Construction Sector, Fishery, Agriculture & Forestry Sector, Other Products Sector, and Iron & Steel Sector.
