The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 85.57 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 69.19 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> at 68.19 yen, Otsuka <4578> at 23.87 yen, KDDI <9433> at 13.04 yen.
By industry, 9 of the 33 industries gained. Transportation Equipment Sector ranked first, followed by Pharmaceuticals Sector, Air Transportation Sector, and Rubber Products Sector. Mining Sector, Iron & Steel Sector, and Services Sector were among the top losers.
