Nikkei 225 close on the 30th = falling for the first time in 4 days, 52 yen lower to 53,322 yen
On the 30th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 52.75 yen (-0.10%) lower from the previous day to 53,322.85 yen, falling for the first time in forth days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1138, lost was 407, and unchanged was 49. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 362.33 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Nomura Research Institute <4307> was at 32.89 yen, NEXON <3659> was at 29.28 yen, Lasertec <6920> was at 14.31 yen, BayCurrent Inc <6532> was at 12 yen.
The top positive contributor was FAST RETAILING <9983>, pushing up The Nikkei by 59.36 yen. This was followed by KONAMI <9766> at 56.15 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> at 49.34 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 36.94 yen, FANUC <6954> at 24.90 yen.
By industry, 24 of the 33 industries gained. Air Transportation Sector ranked first, followed by Oil & Coal Products Sector, Real Estate Sector, and Chemicals Sector. Nonferrous Metals Sector, Construction Sector, and Metal Products Sector were among the top losers.
