The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 353, lost was 1195, and unchanged was 51. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.
SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 68.19 yen to The Nikkei. Below, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 38.77 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 15.74 yen, Fujikura <5803> was at 12.2 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 10.7 yen.
The top positive contributor was FAST RETAILING <9983>, pushing up The Nikkei by 44.12 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 9.02 yen, IBIDEN <4062> at 7.02 yen, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> at 6.35 yen, Murata Manufacturing <6981> at 3.93 yen.
By industry, 4 of the 33 industries gained. Mining Sector ranked first, followed by Precision Instruments Sector, Marine Transportation Sector, and Electric Power & Gas Sector. Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, Nonferrous Metals Sector, and Other Products Sector were among the top losers.
