On the 29th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 223.47 yen (-0.44%) lower from the previous weekend to 50,526.92 yen, falling for the first time in third days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1002, lost was 558, and unchanged was 39. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.

ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 124.34 yen to The Nikkei. Below, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 70.59 yen, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> was at 13.7 yen, KDDI <9433> was at 13.04 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 10.53 yen.

The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 28.08 yen. This was followed by Fujikura <5803> at 21.56 yen, ITOCHU <8001> at 17.05 yen, FANUC <6954> at 16.38 yen, MITSUI & CO <8031> at 8.36 yen.

By industry, 18 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Wholesale Trade Sector, Iron & Steel Sector, and Marine Transportation Sector. Rubber Products Sector, Mining Sector, and Pharmaceuticals Sector were among the top losers.
