The top positive contributor was FAST RETAILING <9983>, pushing up The Nikkei by 80.81 yen. This was followed by TDK <6762> at 32.58 yen, KONAMI <9766> at 22.56 yen, NITTO DENKO <6988> at 15.49 yen, Nintendo <7974> at 12.63 yen.
Tokyo Electron <8035> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 70.71 yen to The Nikkei. Below, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 29.63 yen, Fujikura <5803> was at 17.51 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 13.13 yen, DISCO <6146> was at 7.54 yen.
By industry, 17 of the 33 industries gained. Other Products Sector ranked first, followed by Other Financial Business Sector, Metal Products Sector, and Precision Instruments Sector. Nonferrous Metals Sector, Insurance Sector, and Machinery Sector were among the top losers.
