On the 29th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 110.32 yen (-0.26%) lower from the previous day to 42,718.47 yen, falling for the first time in third days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 631, lost was 928, and unchanged was 56. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 46.19 yen to The Nikkei. Below, KDDI <9433> was at 15.4 yen, FANUC <6954> was at 13.84 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 11.24 yen, SONY <6758> was at 10.13 yen.
The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 64.83 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 31.06 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 15.19 yen, DENTSU <4324> at 5.54 yen, Mitsubishi <8058> at 4.36 yen.
By industry, 5 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Pulp & Paper Sector, Wholesale Trade Sector, and Construction Sector. Real Estate Sector, Insurance Sector, and Transportation Equipment Sector were among the top losers.
