The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 46.03 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 29.94 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> at 28.64 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> at 10.38 yen, BANDAI NAMCO <7832> at 7.88 yen.
DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 6.29 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Nitori <9843> was at 4.16 yen, SMC <6273> was at 4.12 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 3.59 yen, Otsuka <4578> was at 3.39 yen.
By industry, 30 of the 33 industries gained, with only 3 industries, Fishery, Agriculture & Forestry Sector, Glass & Ceramics Products Sector, and Textiles & Apparels Sector, lost. Iron & Steel Sector ranked as a top gainer, followed by Construction Sector, Machinery Sector, Warehousing & Harbor Transportation Service Sector, Land Transportation Sector, and Metal Products Sector.
