On the 14th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 55.13 yen (-0.14%) lower from the previous day to 38,128.13 yen, falling for the first time in fifth days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 570, lost was 1029, and unchanged was 31. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 43.11 yen to The Nikkei. Below, TOYOTA MOTOR <7203> was at 16.71 yen, TERUMO <4543> was at 15.43 yen, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> was at 14.64 yen, TDK <6762> was at 14.47 yen.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 92.60 yen. This was followed by SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 59.07 yen, NEXON <3659> at 25.45 yen, DISCO <6146> at 24.68 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 22.45 yen.
By industry, 14 of the 33 industries gained. Banks Sector ranked first, followed by Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, Mining Sector, and Nonferrous Metals Sector. Transportation Equipment Sector, Pharmaceuticals Sector, and Precision Instruments Sector were among the top losers.
