On the 26th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 95.42 yen (-0.25%) lower from the previous day to 38,142.37 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 617, lost was 948, and unchanged was 72. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.

Tokyo Electron <8035> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 123.8 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 49.91 yen, DISCO <6146> was at 11.05 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 9.54 yen, FANUC <6954> was at 9.21 yen.

The top positive contributor was FAST RETAILING <9983>, pushing up The Nikkei by 63.03 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 18.41 yen, KIKKOMAN <2801> at 8.14 yen, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> at 7.79 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> at 6.81 yen.

By industry, 17 of the 33 industries gained. Real Estate Sector ranked first, followed by Food Products Sector, Marine Transportation Sector, and Land Transportation Sector. Oil & Coal Products Sector, Banks Sector, and Wholesale Trade Sector were among the top losers.
