On the 24th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 26.89 yen (-0.07%) lower from the previous day to 39,931.98 yen, falling for the first time in fifth days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1044, lost was 514, and unchanged was 80. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.

SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 38.47 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 29.1 yen, DISCO <6146> was at 22.56 yen, SONY <6758> was at 13.97 yen, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> was at 9.67 yen.

The top positive contributor was FAST RETAILING <9983>, pushing up The Nikkei by 13.32 yen. This was followed by FANUC <6954> at 12.00 yen, Nintendo <7974> at 10.88 yen, KDDI <9433> at 6.31 yen, TDK <6762> at 5.67 yen.

By industry, 20 of the 33 industries gained. Other Products Sector ranked first, followed by Marine Transportation Sector, Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, and Services Sector. Transportation Equipment Sector, Oil & Coal Products Sector, and Glass & Ceramics Products Sector were among the top losers.
