The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 939, lost was 614, and unchanged was 87. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was FAST RETAILING <9983>, pushing up The Nikkei by 47.05 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 37.98 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> at 18.41 yen, DISCO <6146> at 16.97 yen, Lasertec <6920> at 5.66 yen.
CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 11.84 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 4.54 yen, TDK <6762> was at 3.7 yen, FANUC <6954> was at 3.62 yen, Tokio Marine <8766> was at 3.11 yen.
By industry, 23 of the 33 industries gained. Other Products Sector ranked first, followed by Textiles & Apparels Sector, Rubber Products Sector, and Air Transportation Sector. Oil & Coal Products Sector, Mining Sector, and Insurance Sector were among the top losers.
