On the 20th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 111.68 yen (-0.29%) lower from the previous day to 38,701.90 yen, falling for the sixth days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 570, lost was 1020, and unchanged was 49. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.
SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 52.28 yen to The Nikkei. Below, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 21.31 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 14.8 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> was at 11.34 yen, HOYA <7741> was at 11.26 yen.
The top positive contributor was TDK <6762>, pushing up The Nikkei by 11.34 yen. This was followed by Sumitomo Realty & Development <8830> at 8.19 yen, TOYOTA MOTOR <7203> at 7.81 yen, OLYMPUS <7733> at 6.51 yen, BANDAI NAMCO <7832> at 6.12 yen.
By industry, 9 of the 33 industries gained. Real Estate Sector ranked first, followed by Oil & Coal Products Sector, Transportation Equipment Sector, and Construction Sector. Banks Sector, Other Products Sector, and Air Transportation Sector were among the top losers.
