SONY, 13% Increase in Net Income, Record High for The First Time in Two Years, Dividend Raised by 10 Yen

Earnings ReportSONY GROUP CORPORATION <6758> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) at noon (12:00) on May 8th. The consolidated net income for the fiscal year ended March 2026 decreased by 9.7% from the previous period to 1.03 trillion yen. For the fiscal year ending March 2027, the consolidated net income is expected to expand to 12.5% to 1.16 trillion yenExpected to reach record high profits for the first time in two years.
At the same time, the company has decided to increase the dividend this fiscal year to 35 yen, an increase of 10 yen from the previous fiscal year.
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (4Q), the consolidated net income significantly dropped to 0.08 trillion yen, a 72.2% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin worsened from 7.7% in the same period last year to 5.4%.
