Maxell, Net Income Forecast for Last Fiscal Year Revised Upward by 17%

Guidance Update ReportMaxell, Ltd. <6810> [TSE Prime] announced a performance revision after the market closed on April 14th (15:30). The consolidated net income forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2026 has been revised upward 17.1%, from the previous forecast of 7.00 billion yen to 8.20 billion yen (compared to 4.09 billion yen in the previous period), increasing the growth rate from 71.1% to 2.0 times. However, the full-year forecast for consolidated operating profit has decreased 21.0%, from the previous forecast of 10.0 billion yen to 7.90 billion yen (compared to 9.31 billion yen in the previous period). This changes the outlook from an anticipated profit increase to a projection of a 15.2% decrease in profit.
Based on the upwardly revised full-year plan announced by the company, our calculation indicates that the October to March period (second half) consolidated net income is expected to increase 43.4%, from the previous forecast of 2.76 billion yen to 3.96 billion yen (compared to 1.00 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), increasing the growth rate from 2.8 times to 3.9 times.
