SHIMIZU, Ordinary Profit Forecast for the Fiscal Year Revised Upward by 52%, Dividend Revised Upward by 21 Yen

Earnings ReportSHIMIZU CORPORATION <1803> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results in the afternoon session on February 5th (13:00). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to December) expanded 80.5 billion yen, an increase 95.5% compared to the same period last year.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 52.1%, from the previous forecast of 73.0 billion yen to 111 billion yen (compared to 71.6 billion yen in the previous period), increasing the growth rate from 1.9% to 54.9%.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the upward revision, our estimate of the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to March period (second half) is expected to increase 2.2 times, from the previous forecast of 32.8 billion yen to 70.8 billion yen (compared to 52.9 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), turning to a 33.8% increase in the consolidated ordinary profit outlook.
In light of the strong performance, the company has significantly increased its planned annual dividend for the current fiscal year from the original plan of 44 yen to 65 yen (compared to 38 yen in the previous period).
In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit increased 79.6% from the same period last year, reaching 40.4 billion yen. The operating profit margin significantly improved from 3.7% in the same period last year to 6.7%.
