Earnings ReportSONY GROUP CORPORATION <6758> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) at noon (12:00) on February 5th. The consolidated net income for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to December) increased 12.4% from the same period last year, reaching 0.94 trillion yen.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated net income has been revised upward 7.6%, from the previous forecast of 1.05 trillion yen to 1.13 trillion yen (compared to 1.14 trillion yen in the previous period), and the declining rate is expected to decrease from 8.0% to 1.0%.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the upward revision, our estimate of the consolidated net income for the October to March period (second half) has been revised upward 24.0%, from the previous forecast of 0.45 trillion yen to 0.55 trillion yen (compared to 0.57 trillion yen in the same period of the previous year), and the declining rate is expected to decrease from 21.1% to 2.1%.
In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated net income increased 38.3% from the same period last year, reaching 0.37 trillion yen. The operating profit margin rose from 11.5% in the same period last year to 13.9%.
