IBIDEN, Ordinary Profit Forecast for the Fiscal Year Revised Upward by 12%, The Undecided Dividend Set at 40 Yen

Earnings ReportIBIDEN CO.,LTD. <4062> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results after the market closed on October 30th (15:40). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to September) increased 9.4% from the same period last year, reaching 32.3 billion yen, resulting in an increase in profits compared to the previous forecast of a 15.3% decrease.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 11.8%, from the previous forecast of 51.0 billion yen to 57.0 billion yen (compared to 47.8 billion yen in the previous period), increasing the growth rate from 6.5% to 19.0%.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to March period (second half) is expected to expand 34.5% from the same period last year, reaching 24.6 billion yen.
In light of the strong performance, the company has decided to implement a annual dividend of 40 yen for the current fiscal year, which was previously undecided (compared to 40 yen before the 2-for-1 forward stock split in the previous term).
In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit decreased to 14.8 billion yen, a 10.6% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin decreased from 18.4% in the same period last year to 15.2%.
