Guidance Update ReportNIKON CORPORATION <7731> [TSE Prime] announced a revision to its performance and dividend after the market closed on April 28th (15:30). The consolidated net income for the fiscal year ending March 2025 has decreased 71.9%, from the previous forecast of 16 billion yen to 4.5 billion yen (compared to 32.5 billion yen in the previous period), leading to an increase in the profit decline rate from 50.9% to 86.2%.
Based on the downwardly revised full-year plan announced by the company, our calculation indicates that the October to March period (2H) consolidated net income has decreased 88.2%, from the previous forecast of 13 billion yen to 1.53 billion yen (compared to 22.7 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), leading to an increase in the profit decline rate from 42.7% to 93.2%.
Due to a decline in performance, the company has reduced its planned annual dividend for the last fiscal year from the original plan of 55 yen to 50 yen (compared to 50 yen in the previous period).
