SHINTO Holdings, Inc. <2776> [TSE-S] announced its financial results after the market closed on September 13th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary loss for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending January 2025 (February to July) was a reduced loss of 11 million yen (compared to a loss of 126 million yen in the same period last year).

Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit/loss for the August to January period (second half) is expected to turn into a profit of 82 million yen (compared to a loss of 145 million yen in the same period last year).

In the most recent three-month period, from May to July (2Q), the consolidated ordinary loss improved to a deficit of loss of 9 million yen (compared to a loss of 43 million yen in the same period last year). The operating profit/loss margin significantly improved from -3.5% in the same period last year to 0.7%.
