MINISTOP CO., LTD. <9946> [TSE-P] announced its financial results after the market closed on October 9th (15:00). The consolidated ordinary profit/loss for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending February 2025 (March to August) turned into a loss of 591 million yen (compared to a profit of 759 million yen in the same period last year).

Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit/loss for the September to February period (second half) is expected to turn into a profit of 2.39 billion yen (compared to a loss of 749 million yen in the same period last year).

In the most recent three-month period, from June to August (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit dropped to 640 million yen, a 44.8% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin worsened from 4.6% in the same period last year to 2.2%.
