NIPPON GAS CO.,LTD. <8174> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results after the market closed on January 28th (16:00). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2025 (April to December) decreased 11.3% from the same period last year to 8.57 billion yen. The progress rate toward the full-year plan of 20 billion yen was 42.9%, also falling below the five-year average of 48.4%.

Based on the cumulative third-quarter performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the January to March period (4Q) is expected to expand 43.9% from the same period last year, reaching 11.4 billion yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit grew 24.4% from the same period last year, reaching 6.15 billion yen. The operating profit margin rose from 10.0% in the same period last year to 11.8%.
