Earnings ReportDai Nippon Printing Co.,Ltd. <7912> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results after the market closed on February 14th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2025 (April to December) increased 16.8% from the same period last year, reaching 79.7 billion yen.
In addition, the full-year consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 10.0%, from the previous forecast of 100 billion yen to 110 billion yen (compared to 98.7 billion yen in the previous period), increasing the growth rate from 1.3% to 11.4%.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the upward revision, our estimate of the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to March period (2H) has been revised upward 20.0%, from the previous forecast of 49.9 billion yen to 59.9 billion yen (compared to 61.2 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), and the declining rate is expected to decrease from 18.4% to 2.0%.
In light of the strong performance, the company has increased its planned annual dividend for the current fiscal year from the original plan of 48 yen to 54 yen (compared to 64 yen before the 2-for-1 forward stock split in the previous period).
In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit decreased to 29.7 billion yen, a 3.6% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin remained almost flat, changing from 6.7% in the same period last year to 6.6%.
