OKAMOTO GLASS CO., LTD. <7746> [TSE-S] announced its financial results after the market closed on November 14th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary loss for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2025 (April to September) expanded to a loss of 89 million yen (compared to a loss of 36 million yen in the same period last year), reversing from the forecast of a 10 million yen to a loss.

Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to March period (second half) is expected to expand by 36.8% from the same period last year, reaching 249 million yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the consolidated ordinary loss expanded to a loss of 71 million yen (compared to a loss of 11 million yen in the same period last year). However, the operating profit/loss margin significantly improved from -2.5% in the same period last year to 0.7%.
