WEATHERNEWS INC. <4825> [TSE-P] announced its financial results after the market closed on October 4th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending May 2025 (June to August) decreased by 12.4% from the same period last year to 388 million yen. The progress rate against the 3.8 billion yen full-year plan was 10.2%, almost the same as the five-year average of 12.7%.

At the same time, Due to a planned 1-to-2 stock split is scheduled for November 30, the the annual dividend has been revised from the original plan of 130 yen to 105 yen (equivalent to 140 yen before the stock split) This effectively represents a 7.7% increase in the annual dividend.

In the most recent three-month period, from June to August (1Q), the operating profit margin improved from 7.4% in the same period last year to 7.8%.
