NIPPON KAYAKU CO.,LTD. <4272> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results after the market closed on February 2nd (16:00). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to December) decreased 11.0% from the same period last year to 18.7 billion yen. However, Progress toward the full-year plan of 20.9 billion yen was 89.5%, also surpassing the five-year average of 79.9%.

Based on the cumulative third-quarter performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the January to March period (4Q) is expected to expand 74.0% from the same period last year, reaching 2.19 billion yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit decreased to 7.85 billion yen, a 15.8% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin decreased from 11.8% in the same period last year to 9.3%.
