Guidance Update Report

coconala Inc. <4176> [TSE-G] announced a performance revision after the market closed on October 10th (16:00). The consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ending August 2024 has downwardly by 6.3%, from the previous forecast of 240 million yen to 225 million yen (compared to a loss of 168 million yen in the previous period). However, the full-year consolidated net income has been revised upward by 62.0%, from the previous forecast of 150 million yen to 243 million yen (compared to a loss of 75 million yen in the previous period). The company has further increased its previous forecast of record profits for the first time in six years.

Based on the downwardly revised full-year plan announced by the company, our calculation indicates that the March to August period (second half) consolidated ordinary profit has downwardly by 17.9%, from the previous forecast of 84 million yen to 69 million yen (compared to 24 million yen in the same period of the previous year), leading to a reduction in the profit growth rate from 3.5 times to 2.9 times.
