Sumitomo Seika Chemicals Company,Limited. <4008> [TSE Prime] announced a performance revision in the afternoon session on May 2nd (15:00). The consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ending March 2025 has decreased 7.5%, from the previous forecast of 12 billion yen to 11.1 billion yen (compared to 10.2 billion yen in the previous period), leading to a reduction in the profit growth rate from 17.1% to 8.3%.

Based on the downwardly revised full-year plan announced by the company, our calculation indicates that the October to March period (2H) consolidated ordinary profit has decreased 12.4%, from the previous forecast of 7.27 billion yen to 6.37 billion yen (compared to 6.01 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), leading to a reduction in the profit growth rate from 20.9% to 6.0%.
