On the 4th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 931.44 yen (-1.36%) lower from the previous day to 67,470.69 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 430, lost was 1078, and unchanged was 50. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.

SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 754.65 yen to The Nikkei. Below, IBIDEN <4062> was at 119.67 yen, Murata Manufacturing <6981> was at 41.51 yen, Fujikura <5803> was at 39.42 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 30.67 yen.

The top positive contributor was Tokyo Electron <8035>, pushing up The Nikkei by 277.56 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 123.09 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> at 36.20 yen, KYOCERA <6971> at 26.82 yen, DISCO <6146> at 23.47 yen.

By industry, 5 of the 33 industries gained. Marine Transportation Sector ranked first, followed by Banks Sector, Machinery Sector, and Air Transportation Sector. Information & Communication Sector, Nonferrous Metals Sector, and Oil & Coal Products Sector were among the top losers.
