On the 9th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 413.10 yen (-0.73%) lower from the previous day to 55,895.32 yen, falling for the first time in fifth days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 285, lost was 1261, and unchanged was 26. The percentage of declining stocks exceeded 80%.

ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 101.37 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 37.81 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 24.94 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 22.12 yen, DISCO <6146> was at 19.11 yen.

The top positive contributor was Fujikura <5803>, pushing up The Nikkei by 30.57 yen. This was followed by TOYOTA TSUSHO <8015> at 13.17 yen, TDK <6762> at 10.06 yen, YOKOGAWA ELECTRIC <6841> at 7.41 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 6.03 yen.

By industry, 5 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Marine Transportation Sector, Mining Sector, and Fishery, Agriculture & Forestry Sector. Air Transportation Sector, Retail Trade Sector, and Real Estate Sector were among the top losers.
