Nikkei 225 Futures Surge in Chicago as Trump Announces Two-Week Suspension of Iran Strikes
Nikkei 225 futures surged in the Chicago market on the evening of the 7th U.S. time (morning of the 8th Japan time). The June contract temporarily rose above \56,000, with gains exceeding \2,000 compared to the previous day's settlement price. U.S. President Trump announced on his social media platform that he had agreed to suspend attacks on Iran for two weeks. The announcement triggered buying in the futures market.
