Kimura Chemical Plants <6378> rebounded for the first time in nine trading sessions. Buying momentum was driven by the company's announcement on the 6th that it is joining J-BAS (Japan Bio Alcohol from Sorghum), an industry-academia consortium for bioethanol production.

The company is poised to contribute to all four key stages of bioethanol production?pretreatment, fermentation, distillation, and purification?by leveraging its hydrothermal treatment, membrane treatment, and distillation technologies. Notably, it is proposing the introduction of a heat-pump bioethanol distillation system, which can significantly reduce CO2 emissions during the distillation of low-concentration ethanol immediately following the fermentation process.
