As of 1:00 p.m., gainers outpaced decliners on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market, with 1,121 stocks advancing, 385 declining, and 66 remaining unchanged. Among the 33 industry sectors, 23 trended higher. The upside was led by nonferrous metals, marine transportation, precision instruments, and banks, while mining, electric power & gas, and land transportation lagged behind.
