The Yokohama Rubber Company,Limited <5101> rebounded. The company announced on the 2nd that it will raise factory shipping prices for domestic replacement tires (summer tires for passenger cars and vans) from June 1. This is expected to improve profitability.
The average price increase will be 5% (the rate varies by product and size). The company explained that logistics, labor, and energy costs have continued to remain at high levels, and it has determined that it is difficult to absorb all of these through corporate efforts alone.
